The
concept of 'Knowledge Constructivism' has recently been established as the most
important philosophical viewpoint in the teaching-learning process. New
knowledge is learned by past knowledge or experiences that students or children
gain from many day-to-day situations in which they grow up in society and
family, according to the current philosophical point of view of 'knowledge
constructivism.' This method has led to the development of the idea of 'knowledge
constructivism.' Because what he or she builds is founded on previous
experiences and information, the learner has been regarded as a soul resource
for the production of new knowledge. The topic of 'knowledge constructivism
‘could be investigated as a different aspect of a student's psychology.
Knowledge constructivism is the essential approach to student development that
every teacher must cultivate during the teaching-learning process, as it has
been examined and stated that no child is born without basic knowledge or past
experience. The conclusion is 'every student can construct their knowledge with
prior knowledge and experiences.

An
attempt is made by virtue of this study to ascertain the perceptions of teacher
trainees towards online classes during COVID-19 pandemic. The teacher trainees
studying during the academic year 2020-21 in Chandragiri College of Education
for Women (B.Ed), Shivabasav Nagar, Belagavi were chosen as the sample of the
study and about 100 teacher trainees of both first and third semesters were
drawn by using purposive sampling technique. The data were collected using the
questionnaire constructed by Dr.Shivakumar G.M (2021). The data was collected
using google forms. The collected data were analyzed using percentiles.

Higher education has become an important area
of focus in India. With the initiatives of the current government like there is
a greater emphasis on the learning outcome in higher education. Technology
based education brings engaging experiences to the students. A hybrid approach
which is a mix of online, technology based and class room teaching is the best
strategy for imparting knowledge. The current study aims at understanding the
impact of blended learning environment on student performance along with the
mediating role of student engagement. The results from the study reflect that
blended learning have a positive impact on student performance. The blended
learning enhances the engagement level of the students and thus the performance
of the students also increases.

Anita Desai is a distinguished artist of high
order and her concern for human lot has imparted profound appeal to her novels.
Of all the contemporary Indian English novelists, she is indisputably the most
popular and powerful novelist. She has made commendable contribution to the
Indian-English fiction. She is a novelist of urban milieu and is a fine mixture
of Indian, European and American sensibilities. She writes instinctively as if
writing is an urge for her. Writing is a process of her self-discovery to go
deep into the complexities of existence. She is essentially a psychological
novelist. She claims that her novels are no reflection of Indian society,
politics, or character. She does not reflect on social issues in her works,
like Mulk Raj Anand. She sees social realities from a psychological point of
view and does not look at them as a social reformer or a moralist. Her focus of
attention is on the inner climate, the climate of sensibility. Her main concern
is to depict the psychic state of her protagonists at a crucial juncture of
their lives. She creates a limited world by observing minutely what is going on
around her.

This paper analyses the concept of centre and
periphery through the time frame of the past two millennia. It also looks at
these two concepts through the lenses of various theoretical frameworks like
the postcolonial theory, poststructuralist theory, and the post nationalism phase. An attempt is
made to identify New Power, Hierarchies and Norms in the changing order of
things through the two millennia.

शतकाचा हा कालखंड भारताच्या राजकीय व सामाजिक जीवनाच्या दृष्टीने अत्यंत महत्त्वाचा
मानला जातो. भारताची अध्यात्मिक विचार परंपरा या काळात प्रत्यक्ष आत्मिक साक्षात्काराने
कृतार्थ बनली होती. हिमालयापासून रामेश्वरपर्यंत या काळात भारतात आत्मानुभूतीचा ध्वनी
हुंकारत होता. भारताच्या सांस्कृतिक परंपरेत मध्ययुगीन भारतीय साधना हा सुवर्णकाळ होता.
गुरू गोरक्षनाथांनी प्रथमच या युगाचे प्रवर्तन अखिल
भारतीय पातळीवरून केले आणि नाथ संप्रदायाची स्थापना केली. मध्ययुगीन भारतीय साधनेची
गंगोत्री समजल्या जाणाऱ्या नाथ संप्रदायाने समकालीन सर्व साधन पृणालीचा सुयोग्य समन्वय
साधून मध्ययुगीन विशुद्ध साधना पृणालींना भारतव्यापी प्रवाहात पृवर्तित केले. भारतभर
पसरलेल्या नाथ संप्रदायाचे स्थान महाराष्ट्राच्या सांस्कृतिक इतिहासाच्या दृष्टीने
अनन्य साधारण आहे. नाथ संप्रदायाचा उदय-विकास महाराष्ट्रातील महानुभाव, वारकरी, आनंद
व समर्थ साधना संप्रदायापूर्वी घडून आला आणि कमी-अधिक प्रमाणात त्याचा ठसा या सर्व
संप्रदायावर उमटला.

समाज से सम्बन्धित अनेक गम्भीर समस्याएँ हैं उनमें से एक
समस्या आत्महत्या है । आत्महत्या स्वयं के द्वारा स्वयं को जानबूझ कर नष्ट करने की
क्रिया है । सर्वप्रथम दुर्खीम ने आत्महत्या की समाजशास्त्रीय परिभाषा, व्याख्या,
प्रकार, कारण आदि की विवेचना की थी । आपकी मान्यता है कि आत्महत्या की वैज्ञानिक
एवं वास्तविक व्याख्या वैयक्तिक जैविक कारणों जैसे-वंशानुक्रमण, निर्धनता, प्रेम
में असफलता, निराशा, मानसिक कारण आदि के आधार पर नहीं की जा सकती हैं क्योंकि
आत्महत्या एक सामाजिक घटना है इसलिए इसके कारकों की खोज भी समाज में ही की जानी
चाहिए । मनुष्य से अधिक शक्तिशाली शक्ति जो स्वंय मनुष्य के लिए उपयोगी और लाभदायक
है और नैतिक आधार पर मनुष्य को अनुशासित भी करती है, वह केवल समाज है । समाज
व्यक्ति का प्रेरणा – स्त्रोत है अतः जब कोई व्यक्ति आत्महत्या करने के लिए विवश
होता है तो स समय भी समाज ही दुःखी व्यक्ति की चेतना में उपस्थित रहता है । यह
समाज है जो व्यक्ति की एकाकी क्रिया को संचालित एवं नियंत्रित करता है । समाज मं
कुछ ऐसी शक्तियाँ हैं जो व्यक्ति को आत्महत्या के लिए प्रेरित करती हैं ।
वैज्ञानिक अनुसन्धान की व्यावहारिक उपयोगिता को महत्त्वपूर्ण मानते हैं और
आत्महत्या व अन्य वैयक्तिक कारणों की उत्पत्ति की सामाजिक जीवन की परिस्थितियों
में मानते हैं और उनका उपचार भी सामाजिक जीवन में ही सम्भव मानते हैं । यहाँ
आत्महत्या की परिभाषा, विशेषताएँ, कारण, प्रकार आदि की विवेचना करेंगे ।
