ATTITUDE TOWARDS ONLINE SHOPPING AMONG COMMERCE STUDENTS

ABSTRACT

This study aimed at finding the attitude of commerce students towards online shopping. Due to rapid growth of technology, business organizations have switched over from the traditional method of selling goods to electronic method of selling goods. Business organization use internet as a main vehicle to conduct commercial transaction. As commerce students to develop the knowledge of latest business techniques, they should know the latest method of transaction in business. As the online shopping is become a new mode of transaction in goods and service the researcher wants to do this work. The study was conducted on a representative sample of 300 commerce students from B.Com, M.Com, and B.Ed students. The study revealed that there is a significant difference between male and female commerce students towards attitude of online shopping. It is also reveal that the level of attitude of commerce students towards online shopping is high.

TEACHING WRITING SKILLS THROUGH MICRO-FICTION - MAKING EVERY WORD COUNT

ABSTRACT

English teachers are constantly on a quest for various innovative strategies to motivate and encourage learners to enhance their language skills. Often it is observed that some learners may manage to speak English with moderate proficiency but when it comes to writing skills, they fall abysmally short. Hence the authors chose to use a tool that would appeal to today’s youth and at the same time make the writing task an enjoyable one. Modern day learners with their digital literacy and proficiency with technology, find it more interesting to read “short- short –stories” or micro fiction rather than the longer versions such as novels. Famous classics in literature are often embellished with   vivid metaphors and various figures of speech but the beauty of flash fiction lies in its brevity, it is short on words but long on impact and intensity. It is in this context that Micro fiction finds its relevance since it can be effectively used by teachers to get their students to fine tune their writing, focus on style, vocabulary, hone their self editing skills  and  do all  this in an enriching and enjoyable manner.

BASIC PLYOMETRIC TRAINING & STRETCHES TO ENHANCE PERFORMING ARTS

ABSTRACT

More than 60% of performing arts like kalaripattu yakshyagana, dance and drama has jumping and swinging movements. Either horizontally or vertical. But most of the performers don’t deal with scientific principles of these jumping movements.   Plyometrics and stretch exercise improves motor performance and helps the performer to maintain their body balance while performing. When we observe the yakshyagana, hip hop, kalaripayttu and theaters performers usually involves in stopping, starting, change the direction in explosive manner which can cause injuries. Today most of the performing art students do not pre-stretch. Pre-stretch involves in muscle construction and improves elasticity of muscle. The purpose of the study is to impart knowledge of injuries caused due to physical performance while dance and training methods to improve performance of dancers. Most of the performers are prone to soft tissue injuries which are not open wounded. But these injuries like sprain, strain, contusion are very much danger to performer sometimes improper treatment can change the posture and in activates that particular muscle group. Initial stages like type-I, type -II can be corrected or strengthened.

AN IMPACT OF GOODS AND SERVICE TAX (GST) ON VARIOUS SECTORS OF INDIAN ECONOMY

ABSTRACT

Goods and Service Tax is one of the most crucial tax reforms in India. It   is a comprehensive tax levy on manufacture, sale and consumption of goods and services. It includes central excise duty, VAT, central sales tax, entertainment tax, octroi, state surcharge, luxury tax, lottery tax and other surcharge on supply of goods and services. The purpose of GST is to replace all these taxes with single comprehensive tax, bringing it all under single umbrella. The purpose is to eliminate tax on tax. In India, there are different indirect taxes applied on goods and services by central and state government. GST is expected to have numerous benefits like reduction in compliances in the long run. Goods and Service Tax came in to force from July, 2017. The present paper is an exploratory study which shows the impact of Good and Service Tax on Various sector of Indian Economy. The findings shows that tax rates has significantly affected various sectors of Indian economy but still it has reduced the burden of tax on final consumer by removing cascading effect on consumer. This study would contribute to a more comprehensive understanding on GST and their impacts on various sectors of Indian economy

प्रेमचंद की कहानियों में कठोर सामाजिक यथार्थ

ABSTRACT

    प्रेमचंद हिन्दी के युग-प्रवर्तक साहित्यकार हैं | विपुल और श्रेष्ठतम उपन्यास-कहानी साहित्य लिखने के कारण सन् १९१० से सन् १९३६ तक के समय को हिन्दी साहित्य में प्रेमचंद-युग के नाम से पहचाना जाता है | वे शुरुआत में नवाबराय के नाम से उर्दू में लिखते थे, परंतु सोजेवतन’  कहानी-संग्रह अंग्रेजों द्वारा जब्त कर लेने के पश्चात वे प्रेमचंद के नाम से हिन्दी में लिखना शुरू करते हैं | उनकी आरंभिक कहानियों में घटना की प्रधानता पायी जाती है और ये यथार्थपरक चित्रण से शुरू होकर आदर्श स्थित में परिणित होती है | तत्पश्चात वे आदर्शवाद का मोह छोड़कर यथार्थ की सहज भूमि पर उतर आते हैं | कफन’,   सवा सेर गेहूँ’,  ‘पूस की रात’,  ‘सद्गति’,  ‘ठाकुर का कुआँ’  आदि यथार्थपरक कहानियाँ काफी लोकप्रिय हुई हैं, जिनमें समाज की कठोर वास्तविकता मार्मिकता के साथ अभिव्यक्त हुई है |
