This paper aims to highlight and demonstrate Impact of Communication
Skills in Upswing of Print and Electronic Media. Communication is
the act of conveying meanings from one group to another
through the use of mutually understood signs, symbols, Gestures
and semiotic rules. Communication word is derived from Latin word
‘commune’. There are two types of verbal communication and nonverbal. Nonverbal
communication describes the processes of conveying a type of information
in the form of non-linguistic representations. An example of nonverbal
communication includes gestures, body language, facial
expressions, eye contact, and how one dress. Nonverbal communication also
relates to the intent of a message. Verbal communication is the spoken or
written conveyance of a message. Human language can be defined as
a system of symbols and the grammars by which the
symbols are manipulated.

कथाकार मुंशी प्रेमचंद का जन्म ३१ जुलाई , १८८० को वाराणसी
के निकट लमही नामक गाँव में हुआ था | गाँधीजी ४ सितम्बर , १८८८ के दिन बेरिस्टर बनने के लिए दक्षिण आफ्रिका गए थे | वहाँ उन्हों ने हिंदी लोगों के अधिकारों के लिए संगठन बनाया था | सन् १९१५ में गाँधीजी भारत लौटे और उन्हों ने राष्ट्रीय , सामाजिक और सांस्कृतिक स्तर पर देश की जनता को जागृत करने का प्रयास आरंभ
कर दिया था | उनके द्वारा प्रेरित राष्ट्रीय आंदोलन ने
भारतीय जनजीवन और साहित्य को काफी प्रभावित किया | प्रेमचंद
शुरू में उर्दूभाषा में ‘ नवाबराय ’ के
नाम लिखते थे | सन् १९०७ में उनकी पाँच कहानियों का संग्रह ‘सोजेवतन ’ (वतन का दु:ख-दर्द) के नाम से छपा था | अंग्रेज़ शासकों को इसमें विद्रोह का स्वर सुनाई दिया | अत: पुस्तक जब्त कर ली गई और उसके लेखक नवाबराय की काफी खोज-ढूँढ हुई | अर्थात इनमें राष्ट्रीय भावना तो
शुरू से ही थी | अंतत: उन्हों ने प्रेमचंद के नाम से हिन्दी
में लिखना शुरू किया | सन् १९१६ में प्रेमचंद की प्रथम कहानी
‘ पंच परमेश्वर ’ प्रकाशित हुई | गाँधी विचारधारा से प्रभावित होने के कारण उनका कथा-साहित्य समाज-सुधार
और राष्ट्रीय भावना से ओत-प्रोत है | उन्हों ने सत्य , अहिंसा , स्वच्छता , सेवा , त्याग , श्रम की प्रतिष्ठा ,
बलिदान जैसे जीवन आदर्शों को पुन: स्थापित करने का भरसक प्रयत्न किया है |
