unlimited, incomparable, and sublime creation of God. The changing form of
nature is eye-catching, loving, jovial and ecstatic. The dewdrop on grass
blades, the music of birds and shining of dawn enable one to forget all the
fever and frets of life. The welfare of everyone can be realised in nature. We know
that where ever in the hearts lies truth lays God and God is beautiful and
beautiful is God. Thus, the truth must be appreciated. Indian aesthetics is a
unique philosophical and spiritual point of view, an art, architecture and
literature. The theory of aesthetics is psychic and perceptive. The activities
reflect the holistic spirit of dreams of Indian aesthetics. For Indian
aesthetics one simply has to go to rasa, chhand, dhavani, alamkara theories. In
Vedic concept rasa is a developed concept of faith and state of permanent move.
Aesthetics means the branch of philosophy that studies the principles of beauty
especially in art where a person has love and understanding of art and
beautiful things. Aim of this paper is to express the relationship between
Indian literature and English Literature and their reflection on human society.
In the evolution of human civilisation, art and literature secure to have a
significant role. An artist is a social being who has social duties and
responsibilities. As a process of communication, art of literature is actually
the communication of the artist’s experiences and observation. Such experiences
and observations are all based on the contact with society and knowledge of

Cinema, a means of entertainment plays a major role in framing opinions, constructing images and cultural values. It presents a different world to the viewers and is also a means of escape from the harsh realities of the world. Cinema today is also the propagator of gender and identity issues. The portrayal of women in modern films has undergone a change due to the impact of privatization and globalization. The narratives in Hindi cinema have always been male-dominated and male-centric. Contemporary themes and issues are told and pictured from males' point of view. Women are relegated to a secondary position as compared to the male heroes. A woman's role is charted out in the context of male characters who are always central to the script. They can be any male figure in the form of a hero, the villain, the father figure, boss etc. In the mainstream Hindi cinema, the male is presented as a saviour whereas the woman is the victim. On the other side there are film makers, who have reacted against the stereotypical role of women.
The present paper, while discussing these issues also gives a glimpse of the strong leading woman character in the recently released movie "Queen" (2014) wherein the protagonist Rani aspires to take the decisions of her life and is courageous enough to lead her life as she wishes to.

gifted filmmaker and scriptwriter, with social sensitivity, and a strong
connection to his roots. His latest film Sairat, meaning ‘Wild’ deals with the

different narratives, creating a rich texture of experiences. Sairat is
breathtakingly fresh in its storytelling technique. The uniqueness of Sairat

The modern technology has reached to the
remote shores of Indian village as in the movie ‘Sairat’ we come across the
three friends who are village dwellers and student of first year graduation are
using internet and trying to search information about Archie on face book. At
one side the modern technology has gripped the villagers and on other side we
find the impact of age old custom of casteism still prevailing with equivalent
vigor. India as a developing country has shown a remarkable change in many
sectors. Women too are coming out of four walls and making careers in desired
fields. But the deep rooted stigma of caste discrimination has such a strong
hold that not even education technology scientific developments new political
and social philosophies are able to root it out.

The present research paper aims to depict the conflict of class struggle and oppression of the marginalized in the Marathi movie, ‘Sairat’ by Nagraj Manjule. The present movie is the depiction of epic love between the Protagonist Parshya and Archie. Both the lovers belong to the different caste. Their love is not socially accepted and welcomed. They become the victim of the class conflict. The director of the movie has very minutely presented the clash and conflict of casteism in the progressive Maharashtra state. True love never believes on the boundaries of religion and caste. It is just like ‘Sairat’ (wild and passionate) in its nature. But the social hierarchy never blossoms and accepts such love. Inter-caste marriage becomes the bone of contention for the rise of class conflict and oppression of marginalized at the end of the movie.
Key Words: Oppression, Marginalized, class, conflict, caste, untouchability, downtrodden, humiliation, discrimination, revenge etc.

In all walks of life the universe is
guided, directed and controlled by the Supreme Power. Desai in Journey to
Ithaca tries to place a record of her personal experiences through the Mother
with whom she came in contact in Aurobindo Ashram, Pondicherry. Spirituality is
related to ‘spirit’, ‘wisdom’ and ‘divine power ‘and is different from
‘physical or seen world’ rather it is abstract and greater than the ‘concrete
world’ and is beyond any religion, going temple to temple, church, synagogue and a mosque, etc. In other words,
spiritual experiences of Desai are related to a process of transformation of
mind to attain extreme peace and harmony in life, in accordance with religious
ideals, it is the journey of joy and experience of deep eternity in the path of
divine love.

The study comes primarily under the influence of a similar study conducted by Hamouda (2013) who investigated the dictionary use by Saudi learners, however, the subjects of this study are students who are majoring in English language as well as their teachers. Thus, the present study aims at comparing/contrasting the findings with those of the Yemeni EFL student-teachers and teachers at Al-Baida University. Furthermore, it sheds some light on unknown aspects of various dictionaries. The subjects of the study were the student-teachers and teachers at English Department – College of Education in Al-Baida. The instruments used were a questionnaire to student-teachers, classroom observation and interviews with the teachers of English. The analyses of data obtained showed that a lot of teachers at English Department tend to use L1 (Arabic) while teaching English but with variation in the use. Furthermore, it is found that a majority of student-teachers prefer using bilingual electronic dictionaries whereas most of their teachers recommend using monolingual paper English ones. It is also revealed that looking up the meaning of words is the prime purpose of dictionary use. In contrast, looking up the pronunciation of words is the main purpose of the dictionary use by teachers.

India’ is the new global buzzword. The economy growing at a phenomenal rate, combined with a flourishing democracy is making people sit up and take notice across the world. Yet, it is at cross-roads today. It is far from reaching its true potential. Several social, political and economic factors need to be tackled for sustaining a high rate of growth, as well as to make this growth inclusive. It is concluded that in addition to skills development, there is need for ancillary support such as employment services, career guidance, job placement services and back to work programs to bridge the distance between training and productive employment. These cannot be provided by government alone and there is need for partnerships between the private sector and service providers with training institutions.

The changes experienced in societies across the world due to the application of electronics are far more deep and widespread than the impact of industrial revolution. The electronics age has made an impact on human society and has enhanced our connectivity across the globe. The massive use of electronic items has made communication easier, enhanced business activities and created employment opportunities for all. However, along with the merits, it has brought many challenges, like the rising problem of e-waste, that have to be dealt with by society. In the current situation, it is always possible that human health and environment would be drastically endangered if effective legislations and actions are not taken for efficient management and disposal of e-waste.
This paper attempts to provide a brief insight into this relatively new concept of e-waste, its generation in India and the environmental and health concerns attached to it. It highlights the e-waste recycling economy in the thriving informal and the nascent formal sector and the urgent need for a more clear-cut legislation and forward looking vision.
